Survival Mode: Stone Age
6th-grade students in Ms. Naitza Rodriguez’s Social Studies class stepped into the world of Neanderthals using Minecraft Education, exploring new territories, hunting for food, crafting tools, building shelters, and trying to keep their bands alive.
Then came the unexpected: cold weather, hunger, injuries, and disappearing resources. Students had to decide when to migrate, how to use limited supplies, and what their bands needed to survive, putting teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving to the test.
Saint John’s School
Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from Toddler to grade twelve. Instruction is mostly in English with the exception of language courses.
