The Outreach Program is a student-run initiative founded in the 2017-18 academic year at Saint John's School. It is tasked with organizing, managing, and publicizing any matters related to community service, among them the digital logging and storing of student service hours or documents and the advertisement of service hour opportunities for the student body. Since its establishment, it has worked closely with the SJS Community Service Club, other clubs such as UNICEF or the SJS National Honor Society, and organizations such as Amigos de los Animales.
Recently, the Outreach Program has managed to digitize all aspects of community service hour management and logging mainly through the use of the Naviance-partnered platform X2Vol. The platform was introduced to the school in the beginning of the 2018-19 SJS academic year. Listed below are instructions on its use.
- If you are new to X2Vol–meaning you have yet to sign up–you must visit the X2Vol website (x2vol.com).
- Once there, make sure to click "Join" and not "Log in" since you are new to the system.
- Then, click "Complete Registration" and enter SJS's information (the SJS ZIP code is 00907) along with your personal information.
- Once you sign up, you will have to wait for one of our Outreach-X2Vol students to approve your account so that you may view opportunities and upload service hours.
