Another Hurricane Representing PR On The International Stage

Congratulations to He Shan ’28, one of four students who qualified for Puerto Rico’s delegation to the XLI Olimpiada Iberoamericana de Matemática in Argentina based on results from the 2025–2026 Olimpiadas Matemáticas de Puerto Rico (OMPR) cycle.

Affiliated with the Department of Mathematical Sciences at UPR-Mayagüez, OMPR identifies, trains, and develops mathematical talent from schools across Puerto Rico.

He earned an Honorable Mention while competing among more than 80 students from 21 countries across Latin America and Europe. We are proud to see our junior challenge himself at this level and represent the island among some of the strongest young mathematicians.

At SJS, we prepare students to pursue opportunities that take their talents to the highest levels.
