MATHCOUNTS State Competition

At the MATHCOUNTS State Competition, our Hurricanes demonstrated what it means to think under pressure, adapt in real time, and stay sharp when every second counts.
Congratulations to our team members and individual competitors for a showing defined by focus, precision, and the ability to deliver when it matters most.
 
Sebastian Borschow ’30, Eva Nguyen ’30, Victoria Osorio ’30, and Arthur Oudin ’31 earned 2nd place overall.
 
Sebastian Borschow ’30 also secured a 3rd place individual finish, earning a spot on the Puerto Rico National Team.
 
In the high-stakes Countdown Round, Eva Nguyen ’30 placed 7th and Naira Rivas ’30 placed 9th, rising to the challenge in a fast-paced, buzzer-format competition.
 
Pablo Hymovitz ’32 and Victoria Osorio ’30 finished just outside the top 12, reflecting how competitive this group was at this level.
 
We also recognize Leith Yassin ’31 and Nazeli Rivas ’32 for their participation at the individual level.

Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from Toddler to grade twelve. Instruction is mostly in English with the exception of language courses.
