Biology Behind Everyday Foods!

What can a protein shake reveal about molecular biology? A lot when you know what to look for!
In Ms. Maryam Vázquez’s 11th-grade Biology class, students investigated the molecular composition of milk and protein shakes, using chemical reagents to test for sugars, starches, proteins, and lipids.

By observing chemical reactions and analyzing their results, students connected scientific concepts with experimental evidence, gaining a deeper understanding of the biology behind everyday foods.
