A Historic Debut For Puerto Rico, With Hurricanes Making Their Mark!

Congratulations to Isabella Pérez ’28, Gabriela Chanez ’29, and Violette Shue ’29, who represented Puerto Rico at the 6th Pan American Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad in Colombia, competing alongside delegations from 16 countries!

Selected for the four-member national team through their achievements in the Olimpiadas Matemáticas de Puerto Rico (OMPR), our students earned the opportunity to showcase their mathematical talents on an international stage.

Isabella and Gabriela brought home bronze medals, making Puerto Rico’s first participation in this prestigious competition even more memorable!

We’re proud to see our Hurricanes pursue their passion for mathematics, embrace new challenges, and represent Puerto Rico with distinction!
