Alumni and school parents Ignacio Cortés ’02 and Kathia Toraño ’02 took on the role of Parent Readers in their daughters’ Early Childhood classrooms.
Ignacio joined daughter Maria Leticia’s Pre-K class to read AM’ CARO y el Poder del Juego by Claudia Ramos Zorrilla, a fellow school parent, while Kathia shared Diferentes Perro Iguales and Miss Honey’s Busy Day with daughter Olivia Martí’s Kinder class, with a little help from Olivia’s sister and special assistant, Emilia Martí ’38.
Our Early Childhood Parent Reader Series brings families into the learning experience, making reading even more meaningful through the involvement and connections that strengthen our school community.
For Ignacio and Kathia, that connection spans generations, as they share with their children a school community that was once part of their own childhood. Once a Hurricane, always a Hurricane!
