Who Knew A Chocolate Chip Cookie Could Hold Clues To The Past?
6th-grade Social Studies students found out by becoming archaeologists for a day.
They mapped their “dig sites,” carefully excavated their cookie “artifacts,” recorded their findings, and compared what they uncovered under different conditions.
Along the way, a cookie became much more than a treat. It turned into a hands-on exploration of how archaeologists use evidence to piece together stories of the past.
