5th Graders' STEM Class Challenge
Every invention starts with a problem worth solving, and for our 5th graders, it began with a STEM class challenge.
Using the Engineering Design Process, our young inventors came up with creative solutions to everyday problems, building prototypes to test and refine their ideas. They even presented their inventions to classmates, explaining the thinking behind each design and how it could help solve the problem that inspired it.
It’s the kind of learning built into our innovative Upper Elementary curriculum: challenging students to think critically, create with purpose, communicate their ideas, and apply what they learn.
Saint John’s School
Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from Toddler to grade twelve. Instruction is mostly in English with the exception of language courses.
