Strong results across multiple grade levels once again placed our Hurricanes among the top performers in the Olimpiadas Matemáticas de Puerto Rico.
Students earning Gold, Silver, and Bronze distinctions in the third phase of the competition included:
8th Grade
Silver: Sebastian Borschow ’30 and Eva Nguyen ’30
9th Grade
Gold: Liam Shemesh ’29
Silver: Gabriela Chanez ’29 and Violette Shue ’29
10th Grade
Gold: He Shan ’28
Bronze: Maddox Nguyen ’28
12th Grade
Bronze: Quan Shan ’26
After placing among the students with the highest scores in the fourth phase, Sebastian Borschow ’30, Eva Nguyen ’30, Gabriela Chanez ’29, Ignacio Muñoz-Najar ’29, Violette Shue ’29, He Shan ’28, and Maddox Nguyen ’28 were selected to participate in the Olimpiadas Matemáticas de Puerto Rico Summer Camp this June at CROEM in Mayagüez.
Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from Toddler to grade twelve. Instruction is mostly in English with the exception of language courses.
