LEAD 2026

More than 2,000 student leaders gathered in Washington, D.C. for the National Association of Secondary School Principals’ 2026 LEAD Conference, and members of our Student Council and National Honor Society were part of the conversation.

Representing our school were StuCo members Adriana Blanes ’26, Eduardo Pereyó ’26, Mardi Roques ’26, Morgan Schuessler ’26, Andrea Cabrer ’27, and Mikaella Concepción ’27. NHS members Aren Finelt ’26, Paulina Higuera ’26, and Juan Pablo Torres ’26 also participated in the premier national event. They were accompanied by Secondary Principal Samuel Ortiz, Student Council advisor Michael Mancuso, and Guidance Counselor Jesica Báez. Through keynote sessions and more than 60 workshops, students explored strategies to strengthen student voice, expand service initiatives, and bring fresh ideas back to our community.

Our school was also represented at the podium. Student Council Vice President and National Student Council Vice President of Membership Mardi Roques ’26, alongside Tobias Luksemberg ’26 of TASIS Dorado, led a session titled What does it take to build a Student Leadership movement that goes beyond one school? During the conference, she also supported the program behind the scenes and took on hosting duties alongside fellow members of the National Student Council.

We are proud to see our students contributing to national conversations on leadership and sharing their ideas with peers from across the country. Opportunities like LEAD broaden their perspective and equip them with insights they bring back to strengthen service and student voice within our community.
