SJS Dominates the Regional Science Bowl!

This weekend, our Hurricanes excelled at the Regional Science Bowl in Mayagüez, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. Competing against top schools across the island, our teams demonstrated skill, teamwork, and perseverance—earning outstanding results. Congratulations!



High School Team 1 took 1st Place and will proudly represent Puerto Rico in Washington, D.C., this April. Team members: Luis Cordero '25, Adelaida Siaca '25, Angelina Siaca '25, Wyatt Wunker '25, and Quan Shan '26.
 
High School Team 2 secured 3rd Place, highlighting the depth of talent in our STEM program. Team members: Aren Finelt '26, Manesh Palai '27, Maddox Nguyen '28, Ben Ravitch '28, and He Shan '28.
 
Middle School Team 1 earned 2nd Place, showcasing the next generation of scientific leaders. Team members: Adam Mukhtar '29, Ignacio Muñoz-Najar '29, Liam Shamesh '29, Montgomery Wunker '29, and Sebastian Borschow '30.
 
Middle School Team 2 achieved 3rd Place, demonstrating impressive knowledge and skill. Team members: Elsa Besser '29, Abigail Lawrence '29, Violette Shue '29, Eva Nguyen '30, and Victoria Osorio '30.

Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from Toddler to grade twelve. Instruction is mostly in English with the exception of language courses.
