Top Honors in Robotics!

Congratulations to Hurricanes Emma Vera (’27) and Manesh Palai (’27) for winning 1st place at the Puerto Rico National Robot Olympiad (PRNRO) at Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico!

Competing in the Future Innovators category (ages 16–18), they tackled a challenge centered on robotic solutions, efficiency, and entrepreneurship. Their project—a modular bus system designed to link and detach with other buses to streamline passenger pickup—stood out for its creativity and real-world potential.

As part of the competition, they also created an animation and a comprehensive business proposal to illustrate their concept, impressing a panel of five judges with their innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Their performance earned them a spot to represent Puerto Rico at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) International Final in Singapore this November.

This achievement reflects the forward-thinking mindset we nurture at Saint John’s School, where students are empowered to design the future.
