Bringing Stories to Life

At SJS, literature is more than words on a page—it’s an experience. Puerto Rican author Haydée Zayas Ramos brought stories to life in our Elementary Library, guiding Early Childhood and Upper Elementary students through imagination, critical thinking, and creativity with interactive activities and engaging discussions.

Meeting an author transforms reading into discovery, offering young learners a window into the creative process and inspiring them to craft their own stories. Moments like these set our academic experience apart—where learning extends beyond the classroom, igniting curiosity, passion, and a lifelong love for reading.
