The Saint John's School Model United Nations Club ran a successful competition with over 250 participants and over 100 audience members, from 9 of the top schools in Puerto Rico. Our guests enjoyed Saint John's School hospitality and left expressing their gratitude and joy at having competed in our home. Our students benefited from a weekend of debate, research and writing, honing skills that will last them a lifetime.
We would like to commend Felipe Albors for serving as chair for the second year in a row. This year he chaired the PREPA committee (Puerto Rico). This is the highest role a student can have in Model United Nations. We are very proud of his performance as chair in our competition. The following are the awards won by our SJS students:
Miguel Mendoza and Laura Reichard: Written Mention, as Switzerland delegation in the W.H.O. committee.
Pablo Llano and Mariano Ortiz: Oral Mention, as China delegation in Social Ratings committee.
