Upper Elementary Welcome Back Night

Dear Parents,

What an exciting start to the 2025–2026 school year! Our students have been busy settling into their brand-new classrooms—enjoying new furniture, meeting wonderful new teachers, reconnecting with old friends, and beginning fresh learning adventures. In just a few days, they’ve already embraced routines, built new friendships, and explored exciting concepts and skills.

We would love for you to experience this same excitement at our Back to School Night on Thursday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. This evening is all about connecting with you and sharing what your child’s learning journey will look like this year.
You’ll have the chance to:
  • Step into your child’s classroom experience and preview daily activities
  • Learn about classroom expectations and routines
  • Understand how we approach assessments
  • Explore the curriculum in each subject
  • Meet our specials and P.E. teachers
The evening kicks off promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the school gym with a warm welcome from our Head of School, Cecilia Márquez, followed by introductions from us, your child’s principals. From there, you will head to your child’s classroom. Please note: Parents of 5th-grade students will meet in the Carrady Center, and parents of 6th-grade students will meet in the Elementary Library.

This evening is designed just for parents and guardians, giving you the “big picture” of our academic programs. If you’d like to discuss your child’s progress, please contact the Elementary Office to schedule an appointment. Don’t forget—Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on October 24, 2025.

A quick reminder: there will be no Power Hours on Thursday, August 28, so teachers have the time to prepare their classrooms to welcome you.
We can’t wait to see you at this special event and continue strengthening the connection between home and school as we support your child’s growth and success this year.

With excitement,

Maika Marchán
Early Childhood Program Principal

Yoly Adames
Elementary School Principal
