Spanish

At the regular level, the Spanish curriculum in 7th and 8th grades is geared towards the development of the student as an effective reader, speaker, and writer while at the same time stimulating their critical thinking skills. Students learn to evaluate different styles and genres of writing and develop their grammar, syntax and vocabulary skills through literature fragments and literary works of several writers and cultures from the Caribbean, Latin America, and Spain. Through 9th and 12th grades, students study the chronological development of Spanish, Latin American, and Puerto Rican literature.
