Three SJS Students Represent Puerto Rico at Centro 2020 and Win Awards

It is with great pride that we share the amazing news that three out of four members of the Puerto Rico team in the last Olimpiada de Matemática de Centroamérica y el Caribe (OMCC, Centro 2020) were Saint John’s School students. The math competition was held last Tuesday and Wednesday virtually from Panama, and it ended with our three students getting awarded: Carlos Rodríguez, 9th grade, was honored with a bronze medal, while Andrea Jordan, 11th grade, and Jerry Chen, 9th grade, received an Honorable Mention. This initiative is led by Olimpiadas de Matemáticas de Puerto Rico (OMPR,) a program out of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, to promote mathematics to the island’s most talented math students.
