JSA Winter Congress Convention Washington D.C.

This year 35 students attended the 2020 JSA Winter Congress Convention in Washington, DC along with 1500 other high school students from the Mid-Atlantic and Texas Regions.
They had two bills placed on the legislative docket for debate with one passing all the way through the House and Senate. Delegates attended committee meetings, debated, and participated in the process of passing legislation.

Congratulations to 11th-grade delegate Ricky Marrero, who received one of the Best Speaker Gavels.

It was an action-packed weekend that also included a White House tour and the honor of hearing guest speaker, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
